CBS developing 'Rifleman' remake

CBS is reloading "The Rifleman." The Attention is creating a redo from the Western drama, with Laeta Kalogridis and Patrick Lussier penning the script and professional creating for CBS TV Galleries and Carol Mendelsohn Prods. Chris Columbus, that has a development cope with CBS TV Galleries, is mounted on direct and professional produce, together with Carol Mendelsohn and Julie Weitz. The initial half-hour drama, produced by Mike Peckinpah, went on CBS from 1958-1963. It starred Chuck Connors like a skilled gunman and widowed Civil War hero who moves to uncharted New Mexico territory to boost his youthful boy and will get employed through the sheriff to assist safeguard the unmanageable town. The initial series was created by Jules Levy, Arthur Gardner and Arnold Laven. Robert Levy, Steven Gardner and Arthur Gardner are professional creating the remake.
